On July 11, 2026, the Geological and Mineralogical Museum at Kiel University invites you to a special art workshop themed "Fossil Fineline Art". In a group of up to 20 people, we explore the fascinating structures of real fossils from 2 to 4 pm and create our own fine-line compositions. Whether drawing a still life, a postcard motif, or a poster design, participants will learn various hatching techniques to artistically capture the unique shapes and details of geological specimens on paper, thereby preserving fossils that are millions of years old in a truly personal work of art. The workshop is open to participants aged 16 and up and will be led by artists from the Hamburg-based Live Art Club. Participation is free of charge, and all materials will be provided.
