Participants will be divided into six groups and will receive six different scientific topics, with the task of transforming each of these topics into four different media formats. This will be followed by presentations of their work and a short discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of each media format when it comes to communicating scientific knowledge, as well as their reach and impact on audiences.
The knowledge and insights gained in this way will be useful for developing further potential approaches or methods for presenting science to young people and for popularizing science as a human activity among this population — especially in today’s digital age of superficiality and sensationalism.
