Océanolab: Discover a genuine research laboratory

11 Apr - 28 Jun 2026
ORGANISÉ PAR : Océanopolis and IUEM
Océanopolis

Wednesdays, weekends, public holidays, school holidays.

At Océanolab, researchers from the University of Bordeaux (UBO) working on the ALCID scientific project are studying how algae are affected by climate change, both in the presence and absence of invasive species. Océanolab is an experimental marine biology laboratory open to visitors at Océanopolis. It therefore facilitates dialogue between science and society through a one-year in-residence research project, focusing on the themes of global change, pollution and the erosion of biodiversity. Science communicators on site will bring the visits to life with activities promoting critical thinking, the scientific method and ways to protect oneself from misinformation.
