Assoc. Prof. Jadranka Šepić, PhD, and colleagues from the Faculty of science in Split will hold a lecture on climate change titled "From the Pole to the Equator: The Journey of a Drop of Seawater".
"From Pole to the Equator: Journey of One Water Droplet"
Through storytelling, play, and experiments, we will explore how water moves through the oceans. The ocean is heated at the equator and cooled at the poles, creating density differences that drive global ocean currents. These currents transfer heat from the equator to the poles, regulate the climate, and bring food and life to the deep ocean. We will use several interactive experiments to demonstrate this to children.
