Alan Deidun is Professor for Marine Biology at the University of Malta, one of our SEA-EU partner universities, and Malta’s first-ever Ocean Ambassador. He serves as a member of the EU Ocean Mission Board and was awarded in 2021 the National Order of Merit by the President of Malta in recognition for his efforts to improve ocean literacy among the public.
Dr. Anatoli Bourmistrov is Professor in Business Administration at Nord University in Bodø (NO), one of our SEA-EU partner universities, and currently leads the impact assessment project MONITOR2024 (Hjem – Monitor 2024), evaluating effects and impacts of Bodø 2024 European Capital of Culture.

Christine Selhuber-Unkel is Professor of Material Sciences at the University of Heidelberg (DE) and an exceptionally successful scientist who has already received her second ERC Grant at the age of 40. She started her scientific career as a winner of the German EUCYS qualifier “Jugend forscht” and was previously a professor at Kiel University.
Julia Brink is national coordinator of the ERN in Sweden, organiser of Researchers’ Grand Prix, the school programme “Borrow a scientist”, as well as citizen “mass experiments”.
Elodie Chabrol is a freelance science communication consultant and Director of Pint of Science, the world-famous science festival, which brings researchers to local pubs/cafes/spaces to share their scientific discoveries.
Gail Cardew, CEO of the Linnean Society of London and an internationally-recognised expert in the field of science and public engagement. She was previously Vice-President of EuroScience and directly involved in the organisation of several editions of ESOF and “City of Science” initiative, the predecessor to SCTT.
Meta Knol was Director of Leiden European City of Science 2022 and is a renowned expert in public engagement with science and culture, especially regarding co-creation formats.
Paola Claudia Scioli serves as an executive board member of the European Association of communication professionals in Higher Education (EUPRIO) which strives to set standards in communication between universities and stakeholders from other sectors.
Romana Jordan is Assistant Director for EU Affairs at the Jožef Stefan Institute. She served for ten years as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP), holding roles including Deputy EPP Coordinator of the ITRE Committee, responsible for EU science policy. She is also a former member of the EU Mission Board for Climate‑Neutral and Smart Cities.
