The seminars on board the Belle Amie cover, among other things, the geology and biology of the Baltic Sea, the threats to its habitats, the connections between oceans and climate, and international marine conservation agreements. During the trip, a variety of methods are used to convey knowledge interactively: from role-playing games and hands-on marine research to photo presentations and preparing sustainable meals together. The aim is to make research tangible, expand participants’ knowledge horizons, and discuss ways of passing on this knowledge within the group.
