Advanced Technologies for Autonomous Systems represent new technologies for the development of unmanned aerial vehicles and underwater drones at FESB and SOIS. Conventional battery power sources will be replaced by an innovative power system based on hydrogen fuel cells using liquid fuel, enabling significantly longer mission durations for autonomous systems. A new design of an unmanned aerial vehicle as well as an underwater drone, both produced using 3D printing technology, will be presented. Participants will learn about the application of hydrogen technologies for powering autonomous systems and will have the opportunity to visit several laboratories at FESB, where they will see how aerodynamic characteristics of unmanned aerial vehicles are tested, as well as new types of power systems for autonomous systems.
